Mandy Litherland won the pools and decided to splurge on her family for New Years. She talked the Ninth Doctor about wanting to travel. He later gave her an object to bring back a year later.

She lost her job by the time she returned to the house. She saw the antibodies that were in the house. She became intrigued by the Doctor. She was angry when the Doctor missed one year. After going into the past with the Doctor she kissed him. The Doctor wanted to invite Mandy to travel with her but knew that she wouldn't accept if she knew she couldn't return to the house.
