Have I Got News for You is a non-fiction comedy panel game show created by Harry Thompson and Jimmy Mulville which premiered on 28 September 1990 on BBC Two, and later moved to BBC One. The series is typically presented by Paul Merton and Ian Hislop.

Since 1990, the show's format has involved two teams captained by Hislop and Merton, with one guest panellist for both teams. Several DWU cast and crew have taken part in the series, such as Peter Capaldi, Tom Baker, Sandi Toksvig, Jan Ravens, Frank Skinner, Stephen Fry, Douglas Adams, Jonathan Ross, Martin Clunes, Spike Milligan, Craig Charles, Arabella Weir, Hattie Hayridge, Jimmy Savile, Ben Miller, Bill Bailey, David Mitchell, Robert Webb, and Richard E Grant.

Until 2002, the programme was presented by Angus Deayton. Following his dismissal as regular presenter, the programme has been presented by a series of guest hosts including David Tennant, Tom Baker, Anne Robinson, Liza Tarbuck, Alexander Armstrong, Bruce Forsyth, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Jimmy Carr, Dara O'Briain, Greg Dyke, Gyles Brandreth, Andrew Marr, Al Murray, Aisling Bea, Brian Blessed, Miranda Hart, Warwick Davis, David Harewood, Harry Hill, and Diane Morgan.

John Lloyd presented the show's pilot episode, which prior to having its current name was known as John Lloyd's Newsround.

When Tom Baker guest presented the show in 2008, he was introduced by a visual and sound effect that mimicked the Doctor's TARDIS.
