Trudy was the singer, Ruby was the keyboardist, Clark was the guitarist and Big Jim was the drumer. History
On 22 December 2023, the band performed their "usual set" of Christmas songs, some old classics, some crowd-pleasers, and some "newer, cooler" Christmas anthems, at a pub in London. It was a small, low-paying gig, but Ruby didn't complain as she needed the money. Before getting on stage, Ruby had playfully fought with Trudy to wear a tinsel scarf, leaving bits of it in the latter's hair, whilst Clark laughed so much his tears ruined his David Bowie-inspired eyeliner.
As they were performing "Winter Wonderland", (PROSE: The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...{"name":"TCoRR","page":"13-16","chaptnum":"Three","1":"The Church on Ruby Road (novelisation)"}) a Goblin pulled the plug on their instruments, and Ruby reasoned that a fuse must have blown. After their audiences' brief moment of startle, a woman who looked vaguely like a hippy asked them to perform "Gaudete", but Trudy was unfamiliar with the song (TV: The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (TV story)"]) and also told the woman that the band didn't take requests. Ruby hid her smile at Trudy's behaviour.
