On 22 December 2023, while Ruby Sunday's band was performing at a pub, a woman in the audience asked them to play it after their performance was disrupted when Ruby's musical keyboard was unplugged by a Goblin. (TV: The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (TV story)"]) Trudy responded that the band did not take requests, (PROSE: The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (novelisation)"]) and she was unfamiliar with the song either way. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

"Gaudete" by Steeleye Span, the version referenced.

"Gaudete" is a 16th century Christmas carol, written in Latin. The title translates as "Rejoice".

The association to Steeleye Span's 1973 version specifically, exclusive to the novelisation in terms of valid sources, originally derived from Russell T Davies's script.[1]
