On 20 February, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1970 - Studio filming for The Ambassadors of Death took place at BBC Television Centre 3. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Third Doctor)
- 1971 - Polystyle tried to appeal to an older audience than the Doctor Who comic strip had hitherto attracted in the pages of TV Comic. Moving to Countdown #1, Doctor Who comic strip production now centred around the narrative needs of older adolescents and teenagers, rather than children.

- 1996 - Studio filming for the TV Movie took place. (Doctor Who The Handbook: The Seventh Doctor)
- 2004 - The Big Finish audio story Arrangements for War was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2010 - A 3-D trailer for the Matt Smith era of Doctor Who, featuring specially-shot footage, debuted in UK cinemas.
- 2014 - The Big Finish audio story Revenge of the Swarm was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2018 - The first series of Big Finish's audio series Lady Christina was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2018 - Big Finish's The War Master audio anthology Rage of the Time Lords was recorded.
- 2020 - Big Finish's audio release Thin Time / Madquake and The War Master: Hearts of Darkness were recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2023 - Big Finish's Master! audio anthology Planet Doom was recorded.
