On 8 February, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1968 - Pre-filming for Fury from the Deep continued on Stage 3 of Ealing Studios. (TCH 12)

- 1974 - The production team of Doctor Who announced Jon Pertwee's departure from the show at the end of season 11 to the press.
- 1977 - Studio filming for The Talons of Weng-Chiang took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fourth Doctor)
- 1984 - Location filming for The Twin Dilemma took place. (Doctor Who The Handbook: The Sixth Doctor)
- 1996 - Location and studio filming for the TV Movie took place. (Doctor Who The Handbook: The Seventh Doctor)
- 2006 - Rewrites of The Idiot's Lantern known as "blue script revisions" were made. These included the Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler's arrival on Florizel Street, and the duo talking to Rita Connolly in the living room. (DWMSE 14)
- 2007 - The Big Finish audio anthology Exotron and the audio story Son of the Dragon were recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2008 - The Big Finish audio story Assassin in the Limelight was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2011 - Big Finish's audiobook adaptation of the unproduced TV story The Masters of Luxor was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2013 - Big Finish announced the audio series The Early Adventures, an original series of audio stories set within the eras of the First and Second Doctors.
- 2016 - The Big Finish audio story Fiesta of the Damned was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2018 - The Big Finish audio stories The Planet of Witches and The Quest of the Engineer were recorded.
