Mornington Crescent tube station

Mornington Crescent was a station on the London Underground.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

In November 1918, the Eighth Doctor once spontaneously shouted "Mornington Crescent". (AUDIO: The White Room)

In the Stacks of the Eleven-Day Empire, the 1995 Mornington Crescent station was particularly difficult to reach. Mal'akh biodata was stored in a closed-off platform there. (PROSE: The Book of the War)

In 1999, Simon Cooper was waiting for the lift down to the platform when he saw the Ninth Doctor run up the stairs carrying a "large silver metal ball". The Doctor exited in the direction of Camden. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The BBC comedy show I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue features a nonsensical panel game called Mornington Crescent where contestants take turns saying the names of London Underground stations according to arbitrary and indecipherable rules. The goal of the game is to be the first to announce "Mornington Crescent".
