On 18 July, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1977 - Studio filming for The Sun Makers took place at BBC Television Centre studio 6. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fourth Doctor)
- 1978 - Studio filming for The Stones of Blood took place at BBC Television Centre studio 3. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fourth Doctor)
- 1984 - Studio filming for Vengeance on Varos took place at BBC Television Centre studio 6. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Sixth Doctor)
- 1989 - Studio filming for Ghost Light took place at BBC Television Centre Studio 3. (Doctor Who The Handbook: The Seventh Doctor)
- 1995 - Writer Matthew Jacobs submitted his first full script for the 1996 TV movie, based on his 27 June planned storyline. At this point, the script resembled the final product very closely. Jack became Chang Lee, the Bruce Master's host body was named Bruce and Kelly Grace was renamed Grace Wilson. The Eye of Harmony was introduced into the plot, and was at this point used by the Master as a link to the dead. In the end, the four travel through the Eye to the dimension of the dead, and the Doctor saves Grace and Chang Lee by conjuring his dead mother's ghost. The Master is destroyed and the Doctor leaves in his TARDIS, alone. After receiving input, Jacobs submitted his next draft on 18 August.
- 1999 - The Big Finish audio story Whispers of Terror was recorded at the Nu Groove Studios.
- 2004 - Filming began in Cardiff for Rose, the first episode of the BBC Wales version of Doctor Who.
- 2005 - Rehearsals for Block One of Doctor Who series 2 began. (DWMSE 14)
- 2006 - Big Finish's Bernice Summerfield audio story Summer of Love was recorded.
- 2007 - Big Finish's Dalek Empire story The Fearless was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2011 - The Big Finish audio story The Auntie Matter was recorded at the Moat Studios and Audio Sorcery.
- 2012 - The Big Finish audio story The King of Sontar was recorded at Audio Sorcery.
- 2016 - The read-through for Knock Knock took place.
- 2019 - The seventh series of Big Finish's audio series The Diary of River Song was recorded.
- 2022 - Big Finish's Rani Takes on the World audio anthology Beyond Bannerman Road was recorded at the Soundhouse.
- 2023 - Big Finish's audio anthology The Last Day 1 was recorded at the Soundhouse.
