Sontaran Commander Stenck acknowledged that he was committing the "ultimate betrayal" by releasing the Lupari shield which he had previously promised as a means of protection for the Daleks and the Cybermen from the final Flux event, resulting in the destruction of their space fleets. The Supreme One assumed that the failure of the reality bomb was a betrayal by Davros and attempted to exterminate him only to be destroyed by Jack Harkness. When the New Dalek Paradigm took Clara Oswald hostage during the Siege of Trenzalore, the Eleventh Doctor dismissively told them to kill her. Too afraid of the Doctor and the possible return of the Time Lords to go through with it, the Dalek leader taunted Clara about the Doctor's betrayal of her only for the human to point out that the Daleks would kill her regardless of the Doctor's actions, declaring that she did not fear the Daleks.
