In the real world, Henry VIII's fourth marriage was to Anne of Cleves. As PROSE: Hiccup in Time [+]Loading...["Hiccup in Time (short story)"], God Send Me Well to Keep [+]Loading...["God Send Me Well to Keep (short story)"] and AUDIO: The Doomsday Chronometer [+]Loading...["The Doomsday Chronometer (audio story)"] readily go into in the DWU, Oliver Cromwell selected Anne in Flanders, and Henry was not pleased, urging him to do anything to avert the marriage.

In COMIC: The Gift [+]Loading...["The Gift (comic story)"], the Sixth Doctor is shown to be in possession of six wedding invitations from Henry VIII. Later, in PROSE: The Roundheads [+]Loading...["The Roundheads (novel)"], the Second Doctor and Polly mention the fate of this marriage, using the rhyme: "divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived".
