In 1559 Elizabeth I was crowned Queen (Regnant) of England. An unknown incarnation of the Doctor, but presumably no later than his third, attended the coronation. (DW: The Curse of Peladon) At the end of her life, in 1603, Elizabeth recalled to John Dee that she had in fact met the Doctor at her coronation, (NA: Birthright) though she would encounter him several times afterward.
