Epsilon/Rendlesham Forest incident

On 28 December 1980, strange lights were seen the sky above Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?) According to one account, the lights were actually a result of Nathan Hobb's tour ship, The Outcome, making a jump forward in time nearly one thousand years after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. (AUDIO: Backtrack)

Prelude[[edit] | [edit source]]

After Nathan Hobb bought a Magnetic Quantum Field Generator in poor condition from the Maldovarium in the 30th century for his time travelling tour ship The Outcome, which resembled a flying saucer, the jumps through time casued a pathogen on board, Mellorian fungus, to mutate with each jump. After the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones arrived, passengers on the ship soon became sick, and after arriving at the Battle of Hastings in 1066, there was a large risk of infecting the Earth with this pathogen, which would've changed history irreparably from that point onwards; as they were preparing to leave that time period, a Megearer called Pallax stormed in, and, through its rage over the spreading infection, starting wrecking the bridge, damaging the navigational controls. The ship began free falling through the Time Vortex, and Pallax was knocked unconscious after hitting his head on a wall, and the Doctor used his sonic screwdriver to attempt repair the nagivation controls to pilot the ship. It worked, to some extent, and the ship came out of the vortex, albeit without a working perception filter. They arrived on Earth, about one thousand years later, in the 1980s. (AUDIO: Backtrack)

The event[[edit] | [edit source]]

At closing time on 28 December 1980, the Ninth Doctor arrived in the TARDIS outside the Kings Head in Orford, Suffolk. He approached a man who identified as "domonic hyde", who was getting into his car, to avoid Ipswich past Bentwaters and Rendlesham Forest, and to find a different route home. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?)

That night, the Tenth Doctor decided to set to set The Outcome down somewhere quite in a forest, to recalibrate the systems. As the "time travelling saucer hovered through the sky", above the tree tops, (AUDIO: Backtrack) domonic hyde, despite heeding the Ninth Doctor's advice and taking a different route, still saw strange lights in the sky. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?) The ship "wobbled", clipping the trees as the Doctor lowered the ship into a clearing. However, the arrival of the ship was noticed by a group of soldiers, who encircled the ship. Sergeant Nevins reported the readings of the ship on his geiger counter to a commanding officer,

Aftermath[[edit] | [edit source]]

In early 2005, domonic hyde recounted his sighting of the Doctor and the strange lights to Clive Finch's conspiracy website, Doctor Who?. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?)
