Joe Meesh was a 21 short story printed in TV Century 21 that contained elements from the Doctor Who universe.

The Universal Secret Service begins to print details about the reporters, photographers and newsmen attached to TV 21. The first instalment covers the life of Joe Meesh, from his birth in Manchester to his career at Space City.

- Joe Meesh was born in Manchester 25 years prior to 2067.
- He joined the staff of TV 21 three years prior to 2067 as its Space City correspondent, at one time using the guise of Control commander for easy access and movement around the space centre.
- Meesh has accompanied Zero X on many of its missions and it is he who sends the video reports back to Earth via TV 21's communications satellite, which is currently in orbit around the planet.

- This story was the first in the News Flash sub-series of 21 stories which provided biographies of the behind-the-scenes personnel involved in the production of the in-universe version of TV 21.
