A Letter from the Doctor was a short story printed in DWM 464, and was the sixth in the A Letter from the Doctor series. Unlike the previous stories however, this instalment broke the trend of the previous stories being written by the Doctor and was instead "written" by a fictionalised version of Peter Capaldi.

Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

In a letter to the readers of DWM, Peter Capaldi is "thrilled" to have the challenge of playing the Doctor. Peter recounts how rare a magazine like DWM was when he was a child, and how the magazine has left powerful memories with him, to which he hopes intergrate into his performance as the Doctor. Capaldi writes about how recently he has been reading previous issues of DWM, which he thinks has in part prepared him for his meeting with Steven Moffat. Capaldi is "positive" that the readers of DWM will see his and Steven's (and everybody else at Doctor Who) passion for the show, and to make the Twelfth Doctor a "worthy" incarnation of the Doctor, and he can't wait to see his face in comic form.
