Abbey of Heretics was the second story of the audio anthology The Diary of River Song: Series Seven. It was written by Lizbeth Myles and featured Alex Kingston as River Song.

- River claims to be from Shaftesbury Abbey.
- River finds many "lost" books in the abbey library, including Agrippina's Misfortunes, Memoirs of Sulla, and Emperor Claudius' Guide to Gambling, and the Book of Stars.
- Thomas Aspley was the son of Lord Godfred Aspley.
- Lord Aspley fought for Empress Maude but his lands were taken by another claimant to the throne of England, Stephen.
- Empress Maude was the heir to King Henry.
