Blood Coteries

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

The Blood Coteries was a posthuman empire that rose to prominence for its imaginative decadence. Their capital was in Siloportem. (PROSE: The Book of the War) Veeble was aware that the Blood Coteries were "supposed to be aristocrats, or crime-lords, or... something". (AUDIO: Movers)

By offering to sponsor artists and craftsmen, the Blood Coteries attracted the Pilots', Weavers', and Silversmiths' Coteries to move to the artificial worlds of their empire. However, the Blood Coteries were also ruthless conquerors, so they valued military application alongside cultural worth: the Silversmiths created the Ashla shock-troops, and the praxis-enabled Pilots captained the Bababadalgharaghtakamminarronnkonnbronntonnerronntuonnthunntrovarrhounawnskawntoohoohoordenenthurnuk warships.

The Blood Coteries banned time travel, but they freely ignored violations of the rule in the Pilots' Coterie and the Remonstration Bureau. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
