Fireball Explosion! was a short story printed in TV Century 21 that contained elements from the Doctor Who universe. Framed as the front page of an in-universe periodical, the titular article made reference to the Fireball XL5 content in the issue with a smaller piece tying-in to The Daleks comic story The Menace of the Monstrons [+]Loading...["The Menace of the Monstrons (comic story)"].

- A tremendous explosion in the atomic booster motors has rocked the three hundred foot World Space Patrol ship XL5. It occurred when Colonel Steve Zodiac cut-in the main booster motors to push the ship to its space cruising speed of Velot 1, the speed of light.
- According to Space City official reports, Fireball is now limping towards a giant asteroid using its auxillary motors, where Professor Matic will perform repairs.
- In a broadcast to the Monstron Space Republic, President Yequan has announced an advanced invasion probe of Skaro. Speaking to four thousand million fighting troops, he said "The robot-like Daleks of Skaro will feel the strength and might of the Monstrons. We shall conquer all".
