Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

UNIT's Paranormal Division[[edit] | [edit source]]

When Macbeth joined UNIT, he was made a lieutenant and was in charge of the Paranormal Division investigating psychics and similar phenomena. In 1968, he removed the Seventh Doctor while he was possessed by Huitzilin from a house in London and secreted him away in an unlisted UNIT facility somewhere in England. When Ace removed the Doctor from the facility, before leaving she broke Macbeth's nose. The Paranormal Division was shut down shortly after this event and Hamlet Macbeth was dishonourably discharged from UNIT in December 1968. (PROSE: The Left-Handed Hummingbird, COMIC: Change of Mind)

After UNIT[[edit] | [edit source]]

Macbeth spent much of his time post-UNIT investigating psychic phenomena. In the 1970s, he was in Cambridge investigating Professor Hardin's work in altering the human brain to enhance psychic ability. (COMIC: Change of Mind)

He also pursued several elements of UNIT to expose deaths such as Herbert Clegg, a psychic whom the Third Doctor and Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart met in the late 1970s and died during their meeting. (TV: Planet of the Spiders, PROSE: The Left-Handed Hummingbird)

In 1994, he travelled to Mexico City following several reports of psychic occurrences. Whilst in Mexico City he witnessed the TARDIS materialising in an alley way. He encountered the Doctor, Ace and Bernice Summerfield for the second time (though first in their own personal timeline) in the Special Documents Section in the Institute in Mexico City. Whilst there, he became Huitzilopochtli. (PROSE: The Left-Handed Hummingbird)

At some point around 1996, he wrote The Shoreditch Incident based on the events of the same name in November 1963. (PROSE: Return of the Living Dad)

Later history[[edit] | [edit source]]

In 2005, Macbeth broke into a UNIT cheese and wine event. Around the 2000s, he was working with Ruby Duvall writing UFO-related books. On 24 April 2010, he was in Cheldon Bonniface when Bernice Summerfield married Jason Kane. (PROSE: Happy Endings)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

His name was an obvious reference to two of William Shakespeare's most famous plays: Hamlet and Macbeth.
