Story notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- While holding the tissue sample, Sven remarks how it might be bubble wrap. This is a reference to the make up for the Wirrn in The Ark in Space, which many fans have noted is clearly bubble wrap painted green.
- Sven estimates the Fourth Doctor's scarf was exposed to the space time continuum for about seven years, a nod to the fact that that the character starred in seven full televised seasons of Doctor Who.
- Oddly, the scarf appears to contain a part of Meglos but the Doctor wore a clearly different scarf in season 18 in which the related events occured.
Continuity[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Sven discovers numerous samples attached to the scarf, including a piece of green alien tissue, (TV: The Ark in Space) two pieces of wire, (TV: Genesis of the Daleks) a spongey piece of red flesh, (TV: Terror of the Zygons) a piece of blue stone that causes Sven to momentarily state "Eldrad Must Live", (TV: The Hand of Fear) and a piece of cactus creature. (TV: Meglos)
- Sven also finds a jelly baby, one of the favourite snacks of the owner of the scarf. (TV: Robot etc.)
- In the conclusion of Sven's research, he states that Henry van Statten has acquired the Metaltron. (TV: Dalek)
