William once wrote a letter to Doctor Who Adventures, asking the Eleventh Doctor if the Time Beetle had a friend, such as a Time Worm or a Time Spider, as well as if he liked them.

The Doctor responded that the Time Beetle belonged to the Pantheon of Discord, speculating that they "probably" had Time Worms, Space Parrots, and Dimension-Jumping Cheese Weasels, as they "just love[d] chaos". Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

In addition to the name's similarity to that of the godlike Timewyrm, the phrase "Time Worm" would go on to be used in behind-the-scenes documentation as an informal descriptor for the Crinis of The Twelfth Doctor Interactive Story, with David Wilson-Nunn, a creative lead on the project, stating that the Crinis were created in response to the brief of "creating a 'time worm' style monster".[1]
