In Earth-92131, Wolverine, real name Logan, was a mutant and member of the X-Men.

Wolverine was present at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters when a transmission came through from Moira MacTaggert asking for help, and was aboard the Blackbird as he and his fellow X-Men flew to help Moira. On Muir Island, Wolverine watched a security tape of Proteus escaping the Muir Island Research Center.
Charles Xavier told Beast to take Rogue and Wolverine in the Blackbird to attempt to track Proteus, as Muir Island wasn't very large. They discovered a worker at a pub, in a similar state to Banshee (someone previously possessed by Proteus), who provided ravings about a "big evil thing", referring to Proteus, although Wolverine joked that he was "probably talking about Beast".
Wolverine was aboard the Blackbird when they received a mayday relating to Proteus. After they landed and Proteus caused Rogue to lose control of her powers and she fell to the ground, Wolverine helped her up.
He was again aboard the Blackbird as they deduced from his path that he seemed to be heading to Edinburgh. Although Xavier hoped they could reason with Proteus, Wolverine suggested that they could "take him out", brandishing his Adamantium claws for effect.
Waiting for Proteus to arrive, Wolverine watched from a tree, letting Xavier know that he hadn't seen Proteus. When Proteus arrived, Xavier told the X-Men to return to the Blackbird immediately. When Proteus created a large hand to hold Moira up, demanding she tell him about his father, Wolverine arrived, threatening him with his claws. When Proteus created a gorilla from nearby rocks, Wolverine successfully defeated it with his claws.
When Wolverine attempted to attack Proteus, he was transformed into a puddle before being reformed, something which clearly distressed him, (TV: Proteus (episode 1) [+]Loading...{"ep":"1","1":"Proteus (TV story)"}) giving him trauma. Wolverine wasn't impressed by Proteus's powers, dismissively noting that he didn't look old enough to shave. He didn't understand Charles Xavier's behaviour when his ex-lover was in trouble, with Rogue sarcastically referring to him as "Mr. Sensitive".
