Galactus was an entity who existed in Earth-616.

After the Human Torch explained to Opal Luna Saturnyne and Roma that the Fantastic Four were a family, capable of protecting Franklin Richards, he noted that if they had any doubts, they could ask Galactus. At hearing this, Galactus revealed that they already had, noting that of the beings encountered by Galactus, the Fantastic Four were among the very few to earn his respect.
Seeing Galactus caused the Human Torch to "Flame On", leading him to worry that if he couldn't control himself, he'd be unable to prove the Fantastic Four's ability to handle Franklin. (COMIC: Storm Warnings [+]Loading...["Storm Warnings (comic story)"])
