40th century Dalek invasion of Earth
A Dalek invasion of Earth was launched by the Dalek Emperor in Sara Kingdom's time, (COMIC: The Brain Tappers) the 40th century, (TV: The Daleks' Master Plan) a short time after he transferred himself into a new casing. (COMIC: The Secret of the Emperor, The Brain Tappers)
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
During the intervening years since the previous attempted invasion of Earth, humanity had stockpiled various defence mechanisms, including concealed weapons dumps, radar tracking stations, missile bases and rocket ramps. Only four of Earth's foremost scientists knew some of the caches. However, the Daleks led the invasion with targeted hits taking all of them out. Despite initial suspicion of a spy in the ranks of the four defence scientists, the culprit was actually the Dalek Emperor's new casing, which was capable of telepathy.
With Earth's defences crippled, the Dalek Fleet advanced on Earth, headed by the Emperor himself, flying the golden Imperial Command Ship. However, the scientists had called the Space Security Service, who had put their best agent, Sara Kingdom, on the case. Sara realised that the Emperor was reading the scientists' minds and fed them false information about the Earth space fleet's strategies, leading the Emperor to focus all the fleet's firepower on a handful of decoys while most of the actual ships attacked the Dalek Fleet from the rear.
Realising his mistake too late, the Emperor called back what remained of the Dalek Fleet to protect his Command Ship, and retreated. The rest of the Fleet had been wiped out or scattered. However, Sara knew that the Daleks would one day return. (COMIC: The Brain Tappers)
Aftermath[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Main article: Time Destructor Incident
The Daleks went into hiding and began plotting another invasion. They were able to undermine the ability of Earth and the SSS to resist by recruiting to their cause, Mavic Chen, the respected Guardian of the Solar System. In 4000, the Daleks formed the Great Alliance and sought to annihilate all life in the solar system with the Time Destructor. (TV: The Daleks' Master Plan) This set in motion the events which sparked the Great War. (PROSE: The Evil of the Daleks)
