The Battle of Mechanus was fought on the planet of Mechanus at the Mechonoid City, (WC: The Deadly Ally) and was part of the Dalek Prime Strategist's plot to defeat both the Entity and the Mechanoid Empire. Thus, the engagement was not only about defeating the Entity, (WC: Day of Reckoning) which was sent back to its own dimension by the Strategist and Mechanoid 2150 using the orbital defence grid as a beam projector, (WC: The Deadly Ally) as it also ensured the Mechonoids believed the Daleks had been weakened, giving them a false sense of security so they could be overwhelmed in the following Mechanoid-Dalek battle on Skaro. (WC: Day of Reckoning)
