Conspiracy theory
A conspiracy theory was a type of explanation for an event that alleged a group of people or conspirators were responsible for the event in question. These theories often went against mainstream belief. People who followed conspiracy theories were called conspiracy theorists (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?
