Constance Wilde

Constance Wilde was the wife of the 19th century Irish playwright and poet Oscar Wilde. The pair married at some point after 1882 and in the early 1890s, she lived with her husband in London, England. Shortly after the premiere of Oscar's play A Woman of No Importance, Warren Gadd attempted to blackmail the playwright by threatening to tell Constance about his affair with another man, Alfred Douglas.
