Cosmic Capers

Cosmic Capers was a short story and comic series published in TV Century 21. Mirroring the conceit of TV Century 21 as an in-universe publication which reported on the world of the 2060s, the series contained short prose articles or one panel comic stories about the more comedic goings-on in this futuristic setting.

As part of TV21's shared universe, which contained within it the comic strip The Daleks and by extension Doctor Who, the series occasionally featured stories with prominent Doctor Who universe elements such the Daleks or the TARDIS. Although most of these, such as Film Star Wins Oscar—Misses Premiere!, were obviously parodies and are thus invalid on this Wiki, a minority integrated elements more seriously in a manner comparable to the shorter articles seen in the later Dateline 2066 series. For example, Cosmic Capers featured the first references to the World Government capital Unity City following its introduction in Duel of the Daleks and debut proper in Fireball XL5's Space War arc, a location which would recur in TV21 until its merger with Joe 90 Top Secret in late 1969.
