Dalek time machine (The Daleks' Master Plan)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

The Daleks and Mavic Chen used a Dalek time machine to pursue the First Doctor, his companions and the First Monk. This machine tracked their targets with a space-time scope. (TV: The Daleks' Master Plan [+]Loading...["The Daleks' Master Plan (TV story)"]) Following the time machine which was destroyed by Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright, (TV: The Chase [+]Loading...["The Chase (TV story)"]) this machine was a modified version, (PROSE: Dalek Combat Training Manual [+]Loading...["Dalek Combat Training Manual (reference book)"]) although it was still powered by Taranium (PROSE: The Mutation of Time [+]Loading...["The Mutation of Time (novelisation)"]) much like that previous vessel. During the pursuit of the Doctor to recover the Time Destructor's Taranium Core, the vessel was under the authority of the Red Dalek Leader, who arrived in the time machine from Skaro. The Red Dalek was destroyed in ancient Egypt but the core was recovered and Chen and the other Daleks returned the ship to Kembel. (PROSE: The Mutation of Time [+]Loading...["The Mutation of Time (novelisation)"])

The time machine remained on Kembel while the Time Destructor was completed. When the Doctor stole the weapon and turned it against the Daleks to wipe out the invasion force, the Black Dalek Leader and three other survivors were able to use the time machine to escape Kembel as the rogue Time Destructor destroyed everything on the planet.

After becoming displaced in time, a future First Doctor ended up anchored aboard the vessel just after it fled Kembel. The Doctor encountered the critically-damaged Black Dalek, who fell inert from its injuries, allowing the Doctor to empty the casing of its mutant and pose as the Supreme Dalek. Now secretly the captain of the ship, the Doctor instructed the other Daleks to chase down his TARDIS, which had been hijacked by the Robot Doctor.

The pursuit saw the time machine travel to Perpetuity Station, a planet which was home to native savages, North America in 1876 just prior to the Battle of the Little Bighorn, and the glass moon of Vitros. For part of the chase, the Daleks fell 15 minutes behind the TARDIS. They eventually caught up with the TARDIS in Belgium in 1911, and prevented the Robot Doctor from interfering with the Solvay Conference.

In his temporal condition, the Doctor was unable to exist outside of a time machine. To return to the TARDIS, he materialised the Dalek time machine inside and stepped back into his own ship. His mission accomplished, he simply sent the Daleks home. (AUDIO: Fugitive of the Daleks [+]Loading...["Fugitive of the Daleks (audio story)"]) The survivors included the Black Dalek, despite its critical condition, and its attendants were able to return it to Skaro.
