Daniel Yorke

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Lieutenant-Colonel Daniel Yorke was part of the Southern Welsh Regiment and the base commander at Caregan Barracks.

He was a graduate of Sandhurst, awarded the Queen's Gallantry Medal in 1988. He did special duties in Afghanistan and played hockey for Combined Services.

Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper and Toshiko Sato visited the office of Lieutenant-Colonel Yorke as part of their investigation into the death of Sergeant Anthony Bee. Although he was initially standoffish, Yorke directed them to Doctor Robert De'Ath.

Yorke was territorial, and had very little respect for the authority which Torchwood assumed. He was extremely loyal to the British Army. His mood was soured further by the fact that Torchwood was run by a Captain of the RAF - someone whom he would conventionally have outranked. He especially disliked that he was being instructed by an American.

Yorke was bald. (PROSE: Another Life)
