This page illustrates how Martha Jones - list of appearances would look according to the two options proposed in the "List of Appearances" forum thread.
In both options, note that the order in which the sources are presented – grouped first by medium, then by series – matches the order currently in use on Martha Jones - list of appearances and other pages. However, the table also allows for sorting by author and release date. This makes it easy to notice interesting real-world information about the character: for instance, how she debuted in a Quick Reads novel before her first television appearance, or how Joseph Lidster has written for Martha in more media than any other author.

This option presents all of Martha Jones' appearances in a single table, with no comment on validity.

Option 2[[edit source]]
Alternately, we could include an extra column to indicate which appearances are valid and which are invalid. I don't prefer this option, since in my opinion it awkwardly highlights the wiki's semi-arbitrary validity rules in an out-of-universe page, and this division doesn't actually matter to audiences. However, it's not too obtrusive, at least compared to alternatives like separating invalid stories into another section, which would actively get in the way of finding interesting real-world information.
