Jess Carter was a researcher who came to the Braxiatel Collection to research her paper on the Fifth Axis Occupation of the Collection. She had poor social skills, so she programmed an artificial intelligence named Mann with whom she exchanged text messages. (PROSE: Welcome to the Machine)
