Jimmy Deparis was a hardened criminal whose "time tale" became known to the Fourth Doctor.
Deparis held up a patent office to steal the schematics of a bacterial spray and, whilst doing so, killed Mat Wyatt. He fled from the police and took refuge in an arcade where he tried to deflect suspicion by casually using a kinetoscope, unaware that the machine he had selected was actually Wyatt's tempiscope. It showed him images of Wyatt's murder as well as a glimpse of his own impending fate.
Running away in terror, Deparis jumped out of a window, forgetting that he was not on the ground floor, and died. (COMIC: Dr. Who's Time Tales)
