Mat Wyatt was a genius inventor. Shortly after inventing the tempiscope, through which he foresaw his own death (and which would be the instrument of his murderer's comeuppance), he was killed by Jimmy Deparis as Deparis held up the patent office to try to steal the schematics of a dangerous bacterial spray.
