Marshal Tito was a communist partisan and leader of Yugoslavia.

Tito led a coalition of partisans in the 1940s, during World War II. Included in this coalition were a faction of Catholic partisans. Ruath noted that this showed "what a strong leader can do". (PROSE: Goth Opera [+]Loading...["Goth Opera (novel)"]) Under his leadership, Tito's partisans successfully conquered Yugoslavia, freeing the nation from German occupation. Tito was a communist, and under him, Yugoslavia chose the path of communism. (PROSE: Goth Opera [+]Loading...["Goth Opera (novel)"]) Tito assisted the neighbouring nation of Albania following its Stalinist revolution.

Although not identified by his full name, Tito is intended to be the real world communist partisan and later leader of Yugoslavia, Josip Broz Tito.
