She once attended a meeting with four other versions of herself: Tina, Cousin Elisa, Kirstine and another. During the meeting it transpired that each alternate version of Christina was holding the universe together and that CERN had been involved in hunting them down and stealing their biodata which threatened to recombine them. "Labcoat" Christina is intended to be Makise Kurisu from the visual novel and anime Steins;Gate which is evidenced through multiple references
- Makise Kurisu is from Japan
- Her antagonism towards CERN is a reference to the events surrounding SERN's attempts to establish a global dictatorship throughout the course of Steins;Gate.
- The identifying characteristic of a lab coat is in reference to the significance of lab coats to Steins;Gate protagonist Okabe Rintaro. Okabe encourages Makise to wear a lab coat multiple times.
- In Steins;Gate, Okabe frequently calls Kurisu 'Christina', mirroring Labcoat's identification as a Christina.
- Labcoat Christina once time travelled by microwave, a reference to the Time Leap Machine created from a microwave. Kurisu used the Time Leap Machine in a movie set after the series.
