Modernex Labs

Modernex Labs was a laboratory complex which, by 2019, had been built on the site of the old PKD research centre.

Modernex's main goal was to create a renewable, eco-friendly fuel. They acquired the Ogden Farm sample and experimented on it for this purpose. Learning that they possessed the sample, Beltane, who believed the sample to be a gift from their Gods, tried to infiltrate Modernex by getting close to various individuals who worked there, including lab assistant Harriet King.

Their plans were discovered by the Preternatural Research Bureau and, knowing they had been discovered, four Beltane members attempted to rush the theft of the sample one night with P.R.O.B.E. in hot pursuit. Three of the four were killed in the attempt; the last, Jonathan, managed to find the Ogden Farm sample and flee to the roof, but was talked down by Giles and Harriet before he could ignite it.
