Narvin's father was a Time Lord and an engineer, which Narvin believed was "a lot less fun" than working at the Celestial Intervention Agency, despite sometimes wishing he had gone into that line of work himself. (AUDIO: Havoc) His brother, Rexin, was exiled to Lowtown. (AUDIO: Transference)
He died at an age younger than Narvin was in the first months of the Last Great Time War, after a life which his son considered unspeakably dull. Narvin suggested to Romana that if his father's life was any less boring, the Time Lords in charge of Project Revenant would have brought him back to life and that they might yet, if they began running out of engineers due to the Time War.
