The Doctor and Ruby had disturbed a fairy circle on the clifftops, and the villagers, not believing in witchcraft and irritated by outsiders who thought they did, pretended to believe in its actual dark power and claimed that Ruby had unleashed something terrible, before a banging on the door was revealed to simply be Eddie Jones delivering pasties to the pub.
