On 14 October 2016, Coal Hill Academy held an Autumn Prom in the school hall. April organised the event. Charlie Smith took Matteusz Andrzejewski as a date, while Ram Singh took his girlfriend Rachel Chapman.
During the prom, the Shadow Kin invaded Coal Hill, and some died, including Rachel. Ram lost one of his legs, but the Twelfth Doctor, who appeared and stopped the invasion, replaced it with a prosthetic. (TV: For Tonight We Might Die)
