On 1 December 2023, during the filming of a television series, Davina McCall told Ruby Sunday that they were hoping to track down either her mother or her father using a DNA sample cross-referenced with the databases they had access to. However, by Christmas Eve, no matches were found for the DNA of Ruby's parents or additional family. (TV: The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (TV story)"])

It later turned out that Will was unaware that Ruby existed, as Louise had never told him that she was pregnant. After Ruby's mother was found, Ruby's father was tracked down as his parents still lived at the same address. After he was found, Ruby left the Fifteenth Doctor to meet him.
