Alternate counterparts of Sarah Jane Smith existed in other realities. These individuals shared similarities with Sarah Jane from the Doctor's universe, despite existing in parallel universes or alternate timelines.

Andrea Yates's universe[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Trickster swapped Sarah's destiny with that of school friend Sarah Jane Smith was a school friend, Andrea Yates. In this reality, Sarah Jane drowned after falling from Westport pier in 1964. (TV: Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?)

In an aborted timeline created by the Decayed Master, Sarah Jane and the Third Doctor were pulled to the same location and same date, along with the Doctor’s other incarnations and companions. Later, Sarah’s adventures and first meeting with the Doctor were erased. This timeline was later negated primarily by the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and First Doctors. After the timeline had been fixed, the Third Doctor and Sarah went to visit Bob Dovie in 1963, not knowing why. (AUDIO: The Light at the End)

In a timeline created by the War Master's usage of the Anti-Genesis codes, the Fourth Doctor, as in the primary timeline, was sent back to the creation of the Daleks to undo it. Knowing he would come, the Master had his Daleks ambush the Doctor, Harry Sullivan and Sarah Jane, exterminating them. (AUDIO: Shockwave)

Sarah-Jane was a version of Sarah Jane Smith that existed on a parallel Earth. She was the companion of the Doctor. (COMIC: Who's Who?)

Parallel World (Turn Left)[[edit] | [edit source]]

Sarah Jane had her life changed for the worse on 25 June 2007, when Donna Noble turned right instead of left; this small change in affairs produced a parallel world. In this world, Sarah died while investigating the Royal Hope Hospital. (TV: Turn Left)

The Eleventh Doctor once visited a parallel universe version of Earth in which his adventures were chronicled in a television series titled Doctor Who. In this universe, Sarah was portrayed by an actress named Elisabeth Sladen, who was deceased by this time, though the Doctor stated that Sarah in his universe was still alive and well, and living in Ealing. The Warrior's universe[[edit] | [edit source]]

In the Warrior's universe, Sarah Jane convinced the Fourth Doctorto avert the creation of the Daleks. As he did the deed, he sent her and Harry Sullivan to the laboratory where the Time Ring was held. As the two made their way there, they were delayed by Sarah's memories rewriting themselves allowing the Doctor to catch up to them and a prototype Dalek to intercept them, it opening fire on Harry and killing him. Distraught, Sarah made for her friend's corpse, despite the Doctor's attempts to pull her away, allowing the Dalek to kill her as well.

As a result of her actions, the Last Great Time War started earlier on in the timeline, and the Fourth Doctor regenerated into the Warrior. (AUDIO: Dust Devil)

"What If JACKIE was travelling with the Doctor instead of ROSE?"[[edit] | [edit source]]

A version of Sarah Jane Smith existed in a parallel universe in which the Tenth Doctor travelled with Jackie Tyler.

After Jackie shouted that the heel had come off of her shoe, the Doctor desperately wished he was still travelling with Sarah Jane.
