Silurian Hunter
Hunters was what the Eleventh Doctor called masked Silurian warriors, (GAME: The Mazes of Time) while they were identified by the three-eyed scholar caste as being the warrior caste of Silurian society. (COMIC: The Lost Dimension) These soldiers were a type of Silurian who lacked a third eye. In addition to the tribal masks, hunters were equipped with sonic discs. (GAME: The Mazes of Time) These masks resembled the face of a Silurian species seen on prehistoric Earth. The faces of the Silurians who wore the masks, however, were more reminiscent of humans. (COMIC: Supremacy of the Cybermen) Elite warriors forgone the use of masks, as the Doctor observed, their skills in combat made them feared even without a mask. (GAME: The Mazes of Time)

In 102, when Silurians joined the Pandorica Alliance to imprison the Doctor in the Pandorica, two hunters were at the Underhenge when the Doctor was locked in. (TV: The Pandorica Opens)
In the Norman Conquest of England in 1066, (TV: Co-Owner of a Lonely Heart [+]Loading...["Co-Owner of a Lonely Heart (TV story)"]) some Silurian Hunters seemingly awoke and battled Norman cavalry. In the 2010s, a masked Silurian was a resident of the hidden trap street in London which housed lost aliens on Earth under the protection of Mayor Me. As with the rest of the inhabitants it appeared cloaked in human form through use of the lurkworms. (TV: Face the Raven [+]Loading...["Face the Raven (TV story)"])
In a Silurian city, below the Welsh village of Cwmtaff, Restac was the commander of the hunters, with her sister, Alaya, among them. After Alaya's accidental death and Ambrose Northover threatening the city, Restac assembled an army and tried to kill all the humans in retribution. The city's leader Eldane led the Eleventh Doctor and his friends to a laboratory. He released a deadly gas into the city, forcing Restac's troops to return to hibernation. The timer was set for a thousand years, to permit a second chance at negotiation. (TV: Cold Blood)
Hunters were called upon by the Doctor to help him in the Battle of Demons Run to rescue Amy Pond. Nearly all of these Silurians were killed by the Headless Monks. (TV: A Good Man Goes to War)
At least one hunter was abducted and sent to face their fear in the Minotaur's prison ship. (TV: The God Complex)

The hunters are generally identified by merchandise as "Silurian Warriors", as seen in Doctor Who Adventures and the Doctor Who: Figurine Collection issue 5.
