Talk:Mind parasite
shouldn't this be Mind Parasite (John Smith and the Common Men)? Surely this term is generic enough in a sci-fi franchise like Doctor Who? I mean, I know it is, because this story exists. I think this should be moved and the page simply called "mind parasite" should be reserved for an overview page on the various mind parasites in the Doctor Who franchise; this one, the creature from Nothing at the End of the Lane, the creature inside the Keller Machine, the Dream crabs, the psychic pollen, Mandrake, and so forth. Update: I just realised in that last post I accidentally linked the wrong story. Right title, wrong story. I mean to link to this one. That is the other story which has a creature that is best described as a "mind parasite" and is never given an actual name, so is the best argument for disambigging this page, but also there are many, many "mind parasites" in Doctor Who, and indeed it being such a common sci-fi concept in general, having this page be about one specific character from one specific comic story is like if this page were simply called "Shapeshifter". actually this page is about the species in general, not the character, so it's more analogous to if this page were simply called "bacteria", but you get my point. Incidentally, since "bacteria" is plural, that page probably SHOULD be renamed, to the singular form "Bacterium", as per our naming policies. But I'm getting beside the point now. The point is... THIS page might need changing. And now I've thoroughly explained why on the talk page without a response.... I think I might just tag this. I was wondering if there might be some good reason it's like this as I was so baffled by the fact that such a generic term would be given such a specific article I was questioning whether it really even WAS just an oversight. OK, last post I'll make here, then I'll stop. I just wanna say that I'll probably create a page for the mind parasite creature from Nothing at the End of Lane once this page is moved, but I'm waiting until that happens to do it (unless somebody else does first) because I also want to properly co-ordinate with the general overview page, which should just be called "mind parasite", except that name is currently taken by this one.
