Valentine (Department X)

Miss Valentine was an empath who worked for Firestone Finance, a rival institution to Torchwood, in 2009. (AUDIO: Department X)

Knowing there to be a hidden pocket universe, the Department of Curiosities, and potential alien salvage material at G.R. Owen, a department store in Cardiff, Firestone Finance bought out the company and started their operations. Valentine acted as personal assistant and bodyguard to her boss, Mr Absalom.

Unbeknownst to them, Torchwood Three was already undercover at the store, trying to solve their oldest unsolved case - the missing prioprietor of the store, Gareth Robert Owen. Upon locating him, Gareth sent an alien being, with which he had previously merged, into Absalom's body. The Torchwood Team, Gareth and Valentine escaped the pocket universe, and allowed it to destroy itself and Absalom. (AUDIO: Department X)
