Vampire (Blood Invocation)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

A Time Lord once belonged to the cult of Rassilon the Vampire, one of the many monkish covens within the Capitol which worshipped the many facets of Rassilon.

Some time after the second return of Omega, he acquired a sample of the genetic material of the Great Vampire and injected himself with it, becoming an actual vampire. Going rogue from the rest of the cult, he went on a killing spree, killing one of his fellow cultists beyond regeneration to drain his blood and leaving his body hanging from a gantry above the Panopticon.

After Cardinal Hemel called the Fifth Doctor to Gallifrey to help him covertly investigate the mysterious killing, the vampire secretly made his way inside the Doctor's TARDIS while the Doctor and Nyssa were out investigating. Tegan Jovanka had stayed in bed, as she was feeling a bit poorly; the vampire bit her, beginning her conversion into a vampire who obeyed him at all times. When the Doctor and Nyssa returned, he and Tegan ambushed them in the control room, with the master vampire taking control of the ship.

Holding the Doctor at bay, he declared that he was intent on living up to the desires of his ancestors, and would use the power of the TARDIS to conquer the universe — first heading to Earth, the "tactical centre of the Milky Way". However, his grandiloquent claim that "the Time of the Vampire" had begun was cut short when he opened the doors, as Nyssa had covertly shifted the landing parameters by ten hours, meaning the vampire had stepped out into direct sunlight. He was instantly reduced to ashes. (COMIC: Blood Invocation [+]Loading...["Blood Invocation (comic story)"])
