Lieutenant Shannon was an Earth Empire officer. He went down to Avalon to investigate the planet with Shannon, Ivanov and Jen Komati.
After their ship crashed, they were rescued by the expedition searching for Merlin's Helm. When the site was discovered, Monadno held off the Avalonians with a projectile weapon, which was unaffected by the planet's nanotechnology. This was so the Earth Empire party could obtain the Helm for themselves. The expedition overcame and killed Monadno. (PROSE: The Sorcerer's Apprentice)
