(Redirected from Alphonse (A Consignment))

Paul Cheyne was recruited by Cousin Alphonse into Faction Paradox and taken back to 2002 where they founded a fan club for Girls Akimbo. During his initiation ceremony, his mentor, Alphonse, was taken to the Boulevard of Alternate Brutalities by Consignor Tartarus. He spent the next few years figuring out how to complete Alphonse's plan, with prompting from a person named P who he would occasionally talk to.

Eventually Paul discovered that the fan club message board had become a haven for conspiracy theories, threatening to destroy society if left unchecked. Ultimately he decided to fracture the population by introducing a new conspiracy theory to the mix, that a new plague that had emerged wasn't real, that the vaccine that was introduced for it was more dangerous than the plague itself.

Satisfied with his work, he took on the name Cousin Alphonse in honor of his old mentor and decided to recruit, inadvertently recruiting himself. When Consignor Tartarus placed him in the Boulevard, he found himself alert at first but occasionally began to disassociate, finding himself in other times and places, taking on the role of Tartarus as well. Eventually, he decided to shed parts of himself and attempt to escape, becoming a shift in the process, P. (PROSE: A Consignment [+]Loading...["A Consignment (short story)"])
