1926 - John Lucarotti, who wrote three Doctor Who historicals, was born.
1931 - Michael Spice (Magnus Greel in DW: The Talons of Weng-Chiang) was born.
1961 - Owen Teale, who played Maldak in DW: Vengeance on Varos and Evan Sherman in TW: Countrycide, was born in Swansea, Wales.
1963 - Jenny Funnell (Veronica Buchman in BFA: Wirrn Isle) was born.
1966 - Mervyn Pinfield, an associate producer and director for Doctor Who, died.
1967 - DW: The Evil of the Daleks, Episode 1, was first broadcast.
1972 - DW: The Time Monster, Episode 1, was first broadcast.
1977 - Lennie Mayne, who had directed serials for each of the first four Doctors, died.
1989 - Judith Byfield (Angela Clifford in DW: Time-Flight) died.
