Timewyrm: Exodus is the second book in the New Adventures series, and was written by Terrance Dicks. It features the Seventh Doctor and Ace.

• When the War Chief was shot his Time Lord physiology saved him and he started to regenerate, but his injuries were too severe, leaving him half-regenerated.

Weapons

• Nitro-9-a has half the power of Nitro-9 and is half as heavy, but is marginally more stable.

• This is the second novel in the Timewyrm tetralogy.
• The novel Timewyrm: Revelation continues some elements of this novel.
• The novel Endgame features a brief scene from this novel. In that instance, the currently-amnesic Eighth Doctor observes but does not recognise the Seventh Doctor and Ace visiting the Festival of Britain in 1951.
• This is a sequel to the television story The War Games, which introduced the War Chief.
• Some of the influences of the War Chief are seen in the novel Players.

Continuity

• Ace mentions Commander Millington's office seen in TV: The Curse of Fenric.
• The Doctor mentions his third self dying of radiation poisoning in TV: Planet of the Spiders.
• The TARDIS repels paint, which it did not in either TV: The Happiness Patrol or TV: Aliens of London.
• The Doctor uses the alias "Johann Schmidt." His next incarnation would use this alias again in AUDIO: Storm Warning, as would an alternative version thereof in AUDIO: Colditz and AUDIO: Klein's Story.
• The Sixth Doctor previously met Joachim von Ribbentrop in 1936. (PROSE: Players)
• The First Doctor previously witnessed the evacuation of the British Army from Dunkirk (PROSE: Just War, PROSE: Byzantium!) while the Eighth Doctor and Molly O'Sullivan would later visit Dunkirk on 29 May 1940. (AUDIO: Fugitives)
• The Doctor says that "in an authoritarian society, people obey the voice of authority." He also says this in PROSE: Blood Harvest, Deadly Reunion and World Game.
