Surfshock was a Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor backup comic story published in 2016.
Plot
The Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald are visiting Beachelguese: the oldest beach in existence. The Doctor, being a bit overdressed for the beach, asks Clara if they can leave, but she wants to stay to catch some rays. The Doctor agree with her and puts on his sonic sunglasses. As he stares at the water, Clara screams about a crab. The Doctor turns to Clara to see that she has encountered a Macra, a Silurian, and a Sea Devil. The Sea Devil tells the Doctor that he was there first. The Doctor thinks the Sea Devil is talking about human-home reptilian relations, but he is actually talking about the particular spot on the beach that the Doctor and Clara are on: the Silurian, Macra, and Sea Devil have been there since the morning. The Doctor and Clara then go to Beachelguese at the dawn of time, where they lay a towel on the sand, making them the first ones to be there.
